The Berekum Circuit Court has remanded Emmanuel Yeboah into police custody in connection with offences of attempted murder and causing harm.
The court, presided over by His Honour Mr Osei Kofi Amoako Esq., ordered the remand following preliminary investigations into a violent attack that left two people with multiple injuries.
According to the Bono Regional Police Command, the suspect was arrested on 3 January 2026 after police received a report of an attack involving a man and his wife.
Investigations indicate that Emmanuel Yeboah allegedly ambushed the victims while they were on their way to a disputed cashew farm. The attack is believed to have been triggered by a long-standing disagreement over ownership of the farmland.
Police retrieved a cutlass believed to have been used in the attack and have since placed it in custody as an exhibit. The victims are currently on admission at a health facility, receiving medical treatment.
The suspect is expected to reappear before the Berekum Circuit Court on 12 January 2026 for the continuation of proceedings, as investigations continue.
