KSC cruise past GLC in dominant straight-sets victory

Ghana’s KSC women’s volleyball team delivered a commanding performance to defeat Burundi’s GLC in straight sets at the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship.

KSC controlled the Pool B encounter from start to finish, securing a convincing 3–0 victory with set scores of 25–15, 25–11 and 25–15.

From the opening whistle, KSC imposed their authority with an aggressive attacking approach, combining powerful serves with well-timed spikes that consistently troubled their opponents. Their cohesion and tactical discipline ensured GLC struggled to find rhythm throughout the match.

The Ghanaian side set the tone early in the first set, quickly building a comfortable lead through precise execution and solid court coverage. GLC showed flashes of resistance but were unable to match KSC’s intensity and organization.

KSC raised their level further in the second set, tightening their defence while capitalising on unforced errors from the Burundian side to widen the margin decisively.

The third set followed a similar pattern, with KSC maintaining control and closing out the match in style to seal a comprehensive win.

The result strengthens KSC’s position in Pool B and reinforces their credentials as strong contenders for the title. They will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming fixtures as the competition progresses.

GLC, meanwhile, will aim to regroup and address their shortcomings ahead of their next match in the tournament.
