NPP USA Washington DC Metro Area Chapter Embarks on DMV Community Engagement

The NPP USA Washington DC Metro Area Chapter, led by Chairman Janis Asare-Bediako has begun an initiative to re-engage Ghanaians in the Washington DC Metro Area in an effort to engage the Ghanaian diaspora, rekindle and strengthen the love the people have for the New Patriotic Party.

The innovative vision is to be realized through the chapter participating in activities of the various volunteer groups and organizations in the Washington DC Metro Area. The goal of the initiative is to have the chapter work with members of the community as it pertains to issues affecting Ghanaians in the DMV area, foster  trust and understanding with the community and also use the same medium as a channel to help propagate NPP ideals and initiatives.

By demonstrating q commitment to the community well-being, the NPP through the chapter’s initiative can build a positive reputation. As a chapter, we believe the diaspora has a great influence in voter patterns in Ghana because of the impact of our remittances back home and as such if we can get the diaspora to buy into the NPP vision through our activities, the diaspora community would be a natural conduit to help propagate our message to the folks back home.

This initiative would ultimately lead to growing the party numbers in Ghana with the ultimate aim of getting Ghanaians to renew the NPPs mandate come 2028. The first outreach event was organized on Saturday, May 31st, where the chapter joined the Virginia One Love Keep fit club and also the Virginia Ladies in a walk and exercise activities.
