Binduri Crisis: Chief, Wife Allegedly Killed By Unknown Gunmen in Sarabogo

Unknown gunmen have attacked and killed the Chief of Sarabogo and his wife in the Binduri District of the Upper East Region. Two other persons have also been left in critical condition following the attack over the weekend.

The incident has sent shockwaves among the residents of the area who are demanding immediate investigations into the matter and the removal of security personnel in the area.

The youth in the area who spoke to channel247online.com’s Kassim Iddrisu are accusing the security of inefficiency. According to them, the security personnel posted to the area have not been able to deal with the constant killings in the area hence the need to replace them with new people who can help apprehend the criminals in the area.

Leader of the youth, Azure Abraham said, ”the only thing the security do is provide escort services to some people but are unable to stop the constant killings in Binduri’.

They have also warned their Member of Parliament, Issifu Mahamoud not to come to the constituency if he is unable to ensure the security personnel currently on duty in Binduri are removed from the area.

This development comes in the wake of a wave of killings by unknown gunmen in the area. This has led to the imposition of a dusk to dawn curfew in the area.
