President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated an ultra-modern digital printing centre at the Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) as part of efforts to modernise the state-owned enterprise and improve its operational efficiency.
The facility was unveiled during the President’s working visit to the Company, where he interacted with members of the Board, Management, and staff, and assessed ongoing reforms at GPCL.
The new digital printing centre is expected to increase production output, shorten delivery timelines, and enhance GPCL’s capacity to handle high-volume and time-sensitive printing jobs for both government institutions and private clients.
President Mahama praised the leadership of GPCL for prioritising technology-driven investments, noting that the move positions the Company to remain competitive within Ghana’s evolving printing industry. He added that the facility would reinforce GPCL’s role in delivering critical national assignments, including the printing of official state documents, educational materials, and other large-scale publications.
The commissioning reflects government’s broader Reset Agenda aimed at strengthening public institutions and promoting productivity, efficiency, and the 24-hour economy, with GPCL playing a strategic role as a modern, forward-looking State-Owned Enterprise.
