Bryan Acheampong campaign denounces fake messages ahead of primaries

The presidential campaign team of Dr. Bryan Acheampong has strongly denounced fake messages circulating among delegates ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries, urging party members to disregard the misinformation.

In a press release issued in Accra on January 30, 2026, the campaign clarified that Dr. Acheampong has not sent any SMS messages promising money, gifts, or Christmas packages to delegates, describing such messages as false and misleading.

The campaign warned that the fake messages are intended to distract delegates at a critical stage of the internal electoral process and appealed to them to remain focused and vigilant. It stressed that the campaign remains committed to discipline, transparency, and integrity throughout the primaries.

According to the statement, delegates have been advised to rely solely on official communications issued through Dr. Acheampong’s verified channels or directly from the campaign office. Any other messages, the campaign said, should be treated with suspicion and ignored.

The Bryan Acheampong Campaign further reaffirmed its dedication to unity and truth within the party, calling on all stakeholders to resist attempts to undermine the credibility of the primaries through misinformation and deception.
