The Member of Parliament for the Binduri Constituency in the Upper East Region, Lawyer Yusif Manuud, has pledged to significantly transform the area before the end of his four-year tenure.
Citing his record of delivery, Mr Manuud said his first year in office has already seen seven development projects initiated across the constituency.
These interventions span job creation, improvements in school infrastructure, construction of CHPS compounds, support for needy children, borehole drilling, road network upgrades, and youth employment initiatives.
Binduri’s electoral history is considered unique, as most Members of Parliament elected since 1982 have served only a single term. Mr Manuud, however, says he is determined to break that trend by delivering tangible development that will improve the lives of residents.
He reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing development despite the security challenges facing parts of the constituency, noting that his focus remains on giving residents hope for a brighter future.
The Binduri Constituency currently has 43,962 registered voters, a figure expected to rise ahead of the 2028 general elections.
However, the area continues to face significant infrastructure deficits, including the absence of a Ghana Education Service office, Fire Service station, district hospital, and a dormitory block for the Binduri Community Day Senior High School.
