Kenya’s KPC thrash Ghana’s KSC with commanding 3-0 victory

Kenya’s KPC Volleyball Club delivered a dominant performance to defeat Ghana’s KSC in straight sets at the opening match of the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship in Cairo.

KPC controlled the contest from start to finish, sealing a convincing 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-13 in their Pool A encounter. The Kenyan side combined disciplined teamwork, precise attacking play, and strong serving to outclass their Ghanaian opponents.

The opening set saw KPC assert early authority, building a steady lead through effective serves and well-coordinated attacks. KSC attempted to respond but struggled to break through KPC’s organized defense, allowing the Kenyan side to close the set comfortably.

KSC showed signs of improvement in the second set, tightening their defense and displaying better coordination. However, KPC maintained their intensity and capitalized on key moments, using powerful serves and sharp spikes to edge ahead and secure the set.

By the third set, KPC were firmly in control. Demonstrating superior fitness and tactical discipline, they overwhelmed KSC with a series of quick, decisive plays to wrap up the match in emphatic fashion.

The result places KPC in a strong position early in the competition and underlines their credentials as one of the teams to watch in this year’s championship, while KSC will look to regroup ahead of their next fixture.
