Over 300 delegates vote as Tempane NPP primaries progress

Voting is progressing steadily in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Tempane Constituency, with more than 300 delegates having cast their ballots by midmorning.

Channel 247 can confirm that a total of 322 delegates had voted as of 10:21 a.m., out of the 552 delegates expected to participate in the exercise. Voting commenced promptly at 7:00 a.m. at the Tempane Community Centre.

The process has so far been peaceful and well-organised, with no incidents reported at the polling centre. Security personnel have been deployed in adequate numbers to maintain law and order and to ensure a smooth voting process.

Party officials overseeing the exercise expressed satisfaction with the conduct of delegates and the overall organisation of the primaries. Delegates were observed calmly casting their ballots under strict supervision.

The Tempane primary forms part of the NPP’s nationwide parliamentary primary, with results from all constituencies expected to be collated and announced after voting concludes across the country.
