The Parents–Teachers Association (PTA) of Zebilla Senior High School (SHS) has donated 300 mono desks to the school, aimed at improving student comfort and enhancing the teaching and learning environment.
The donation was formally handed over during a brief ceremony at the school’s administration block on January 27, 2026. The event was attended by the District Director of Education, representatives of the District Chief Executive (DCE), school management, staff, and students.
PTA Chairman, Mr. Thomas Ayamwego, presented the desks to the District Director of Education, Mr. Timothy Nassal, who received them on behalf of the school and the Ghana Education Service. Mr. Nassal commended the PTA for the gesture, describing it as timely support that would help address furniture challenges in the school.
Headmaster of Zebilla SHS, Mr. Richard Akumbas, expressed profound gratitude to the PTA for its continued commitment to the welfare of students. He noted that the additional desks would significantly improve classroom comfort and urged parents and other stakeholders to sustain their support for the school’s development agenda.
Representing the District Chief Executive, Mr. Abass assured the school of the Assembly’s commitment to supporting quality education in the district. He described the PTA’s intervention as a major boost to ongoing efforts to create a conducive learning environment for students.
The donation underscores the PTA’s role as a key partner in education delivery at Zebilla SHS and reflects growing collaboration between parents, school authorities, and local government to improve educational infrastructure.
