Ebo Noah granted bail as court relaxes conditions

A circuit court has granted bail to Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, following submissions made by his lawyer, Emmanuel Sarfo. The lawyer confirmed that the court showed flexibility in its bail conditions after initially imposing stricter requirements.

Speaking after the court proceedings, Lawyer Sarfo explained that the court first ruled that two individuals with landed property should stand as sureties for the bail. However, he appealed to the court to relax the condition, noting that it could delay the process.

“The court said two people with landed property can stand as sureties, but I pleaded that it will take a long time. My Lady agreed and said any property can be used, even a car,” he stated.

According to Lawyer Sarfo, efforts to meet the bail conditions have already begun, and the necessary processes are underway to secure his client’s release.

He further disclosed that the case has been adjourned to the second week of March, when the prosecution is expected to present its witnesses and disclose the evidence it intends to rely on.

“At the next adjournment in March, they are expected to present all their witnesses and disclose the evidence they intend to rely on. This is not an issue,” he added.

Lawyer Sarfo also cautioned bloggers and online publishers to be mindful of the information they share about the case, describing some reports circulating online as false.

“I want to sound a caution to the bloggers. They claimed the person who pleaded for him was his mother, but that is not true. She is an imposter. Bloggers should cross-check their information before publishing,” he warned.

The case is expected to continue in March as the court awaits full disclosure from the prosecution.
