No money charged for prayers at Alpha Hour— Esther Smith clarifies

Gospel musician Esther Smith has dismissed claims circulating on social media that Pastor Elvis Agyemang of Alpha Hour demanded or received money in exchange for prayers, describing the reports as false and misleading.

In a press statement issued by her management, Esther Smith said her engagement with Pastor Elvis Agyemang and the Alpha Hour team was marked by respect, dignity, and genuine pastoral care. She stressed that at no point was any amount requested, demanded, or charged for prayers.

According to the statement, the Alpha Hour team provided adequate security and support throughout their interaction, with all engagements conducted professionally and with integrity. Esther Smith further praised Pastor Elvis Agyemang for demonstrating consistent character, accountability, and transparency in his ministry.

The statement rejected narratives portraying the Alpha Hour leader as engaging in financial impropriety, describing such claims as inaccurate and a gross distortion of facts. It urged the public, the Alpha Hour family, and fans of Esther Smith to disregard speculation and sensational headlines circulating online.

Esther Smith’s management also called on media practitioners and bloggers to verify facts and exercise responsibility, cautioning against publishing content that could mislead the public or damage reputations.

The statement, signed by Esther Smith Management, said the clarification was issued in the interest of truth, clarity, and peace.
