The bodyguard of Nana Kwame Bediako, the flagbearer of the New Force who was caught in a viral video hitting a resident of Asante Mampong in the chest has been enrolled in an Anger Management Course in a bid to prevent a recurrence of the incident.
The bodyguard, Andy Opoku(Seven) was captured in the said video hitting the victim, Yaw Akuoko who trying to get the attention of the flagbearer of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako who attended the late Mamponghene Daasebre Osei Bonsu II’s friend over the weekend in Mampong in the Ashanti Region.
Addressing the incident after issuing a public apology, lead Economic Analyst for the New Force, Hubert Baidoo disclosed that an investigation has commenced and decisions taken on the matter will be communicated to the media.
He said, ”we have spent money to enroll the bodyguard involved in the incident in an anger management course supervised by American professors to ensure the incident does not occur again. We have also started investigations into the matter and we shall brief you on the outcome soon’.
The viral video has been met with widespread condemnation from various quarters and has since led to Nana Kwame Bediako reaching out to the victim to apologize in person to him.
The victim, Yaw Akuoko who was present at the Press Conference held in Accra, forgave his attacker.
”After the incident, Nana called and made sure doctors attended to me. My brother the bodyguard has also accepted his fault and so I have forgiven him”, Yaw Akuoko stressed.
