Some angry who identified themselves as Concern Youth of the NDC in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem constituency on Tuesday stormed the premises of the Ankaful Psychiatric Nursing Training School and Hospital demanding the removal of the Principal and Medical Director of the two facilities.
The youth who are accusing the two of poor management of the institutions, locked up the bungalows and offices at the administrative blocks of the Psychiatric Nursing Training School as well as the Hospital.
Leader of the group who spoke to the media, Nana Fosu accused the Principal of the training school, Simon Dogeduong of mismanaging the school and turning it into his personal property.
According to him, the Principal who has allegedly been in the school for over 20 years is not accountable. ”The Principal cannot boast of a single project he has commenced in the school since he came in over 20 years ago”, Nana Fosu said.
Turning to the Director of the Psychiatric Hospital, the group accused him of mismanaging the facility and not bringing in profit to help run the place. They alleged that the management of the hospital have not been able to render account for years. The group has threatened to take the law into their own hands if government does not act swiftly.
The accused were however not available for comments when channel247online.com attempted getting a response.
