Kay9ice publicly apologizes to Shatta Wale and Shatta Movement fans

Rising Afro-highlife musician Kay9ice has issued a public apology to dancehall icon Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement family following remarks he made about one of Shatta Wale’s songs.

The controversy began during an appearance on Adom TV’s entertainment show with Sally Mann, where Kay9ice’s comments about the song did not sit well with Shatta Movement fans, sparking widespread reactions and criticism.

Speaking in a recent interview on Wontumi TV, Kay9ice expressed deep regret over the incident and clarified that his comments were not meant to disrespect Shatta Wale or his fanbase. “I would like to use this opportunity to apologize to all S.M fans,” he said. “I might have made some comments which I never intended for it to sound wrong to the fans. I have no intention of disrespecting such an icon.”

The singer further refrained from elaborating on the controversy, choosing instead to focus on his apology to avoid any further misunderstandings. Despite the host’s efforts to revisit the issue, Kay9ice declined to make additional comments.

Kay9ice, who is currently promoting his latest single titled “Pema,” urged fans to support his music as he works towards solidifying his place in the industry. The song is available for streaming on major platforms.
