Joana Gyan Cudjoe drives multi-sector development in Amenfi Central

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has rolled out wide-ranging development initiatives across education, healthcare, infrastructure, security and economic empowerment, significantly improving living conditions in the constituency.

In the education sector, the MP has employed 35 community teachers to support teaching and learning in 28 basic schools, directly benefiting 8,829 pupils and 137 teachers. She has also provided financial support to 39 schools, amounting to GHS 589,680 within a seven-month period, to enhance school operations and learning outcomes.

Ongoing infrastructure projects include the construction of new schools and classroom blocks at Wuratrem DA Primary School and Ankasie DA Primary School.

Healthcare delivery in Amenfi Central has also seen notable improvements, with the construction of Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds at Ankasie, Jedua Kese and Hiawa. These facilities are expected to improve access to quality healthcare, particularly for residents in remote communities.

On infrastructure, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe has been actively advocating for the rehabilitation of 33 key roads across the constituency to enhance transportation and economic activity. Community roads have also been reshaped, while several boreholes have been repaired to ensure access to safe and potable water.

Economic empowerment remains a key pillar of the MP’s development agenda. She has invested in a block factory to create employment opportunities for local youth and acquired land for the establishment of a future university, aimed at expanding access to higher education and stimulating job creation.

In the area of security, police stations are being established at Sraha Ayiem and Achichire to strengthen law enforcement presence and improve community safety.

These interventions reflect Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s commitment to inclusive development and her resolve to drive sustainable progress across Amenfi Central.
