A 17-year-old boy, identified as Osei Kwame, is in critical condition after allegedly being subjected to severe physical abuse by an angry father at Assin Breku in the Central Region.
According to reports, the suspect, Issah Boamah, aged 36, tied the teenager to a tricycle and dragged him along a rough road, causing serious injuries to various parts of his body. The victim’s clothes were reportedly torn into pieces during the ordeal.
Osei Kwame is currently receiving medical treatment due to the severity of the injuries sustained.
Information gathered indicates that the victim had been in a sexual relationship with the suspect’s 14-year-old daughter for about three years. However, Osei Kwame has stated that he ended the relationship several months ago.
Recounting his ordeal in an interview with Channel 247 News, the teenager alleged that the suspect took him to the outskirts of the Assin Breku community and forced him to choose between death and life-threatening injuries.
“Out of fear, I chose the injuries,” he said.
Relatives of the victim have since reported the matter to the police and are calling for a thorough investigation and justice.
Meanwhile, the suspect, Issah Boamah, has admitted inflicting the injuries on the teenager, explaining that all efforts to stop him from engaging in a relationship with his underage daughter had failed.
