Donald Trump gets shot

A 20-year-old gunman shot and wounded Donald Trump in an attempted assassin at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday in one of the most horrifying acts of violence in political history.

The former president was speaking to thousands of fans when he grabbed his ear and had blood covering his face after the suspect opened fire with an AR rifle from a rooftop 130 yards from the stage.

At least eight shots were fired and the crowd started screaming as Trump was swarmed by his Secret Service agents.

He then got up, raised his fist and shouted ‘fight, fight, fight’ as he was rushed away from the scene and to hospital. Just a few hours later he released a statement saying he was fine and describing the moment he felt the bullet rip through his skin.

The attacker killed a member of the crowd before he was shot and killed in the terrifying incident that has sparked questions of how law enforcement allowed him to open fire on a former president.

FBI: ‘It’s surprising’ the shooter could fire off multiple rounds

FBI special agent Kevin Rojek said it was ‘surprising’ the gunman was able to fire multiple shots at Donald Trump before he was killed by Secret Service.

The special agent in charge of the FBI Pittsburgh office described the shooting as an ‘attempted assassination’ and still hasn’t formally identified the suspect.

He added that the Secret Service was responsible for surveying the rally venue before the shooting that has sparked claims of a widespread security failure.

Rojek added that law enforcement responded to multiple suspicious activities before the shooting.
