Breaking:Bernard Ahiafor Orders Marshalls To Remove Dr. Afriyie From Chamber

In a dramatic turn of events in Parliament, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bernard Ahiafor has ordered Marshalls in the law-making House to remove Ranking member of the health committee, Dr. Ayew Afriyie from the chamber. The speaker presiding who was not happy with attempts by Dr. Afriyie to make a statement after a motion has been moved for adjournment of sittings for Tuesday, 10th June, 2025.

The Ranking Member who was trying to raise for discussion the ongoing strike by nurses and midwives, was cut short by the Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga who requested that sitting be adjourned until Wednesday, 11th June, 2025 which was accepted by Mr. Ahiafor but Dr. Afriyie insisted on making the point prompting an angry response from the Presiding Speaker who threatened to have him removed from the chamber.

This threat from Mr. Ahiafor was not taken kindly by the ranking member who also threatened to walk out if that is what the Presiding Speaker wanted leading to an order for the Marshalls to remove Dr. Afriyie from the chamber.

Attempts by the Marshalls to carry through the order from the presiding speaker was resisted by the members of the minority who surrounded Dr. Afriyie preventing his removal.
