Borode Festival launched to showcase Ghana’s rich heritage and cuisine

On August 29, 2024,  Mcphilix  Limited launched the next edition of its annual festival ‘Borode Festival’.

The Borode Festival is a celebration of the humble plantain and its significance in Ghanaian culture. The festival, scheduled for March 7th-8th, 2025, will showcase the versatility of the plantain and its importance in Ghanaian cuisine.

It will also include various activities such as a plantain farm tour, plantain exhibition, music shows, and a plantain cooking competition.

The festival will also highlight the cultural significance of the plantain in Ghanaian tradition and its role in bringing people together.

Speaking at the launch which took place at the premises of Mcphilix Limited, the CEO of the company,  Felix Afutu divulged, “We are proud to launch the Borode Festival, which celebrates the power of the plantain in Ghanaian culture”.

“We look forward to sharing this experience with the community and showcasing the rich heritage of Ghana.”He added

Some of the celebrities who attended the launch included popular songstress Cina Soul who is out with a new single dubbed ‘Too Bad’.

The song which is enjoying airplay features rap icon Sarkodie and DJ Breezy and O’Kenneth
