Abura Dunkwa chief praises Ofosu for fulfilling 2024 campaign promises

The Odikro of Abura Dunkwa in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District, Nana Obrempong Owusu Koko II, has commended the Member of Parliament for the area and Government Spokesman, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, for honouring his 2024 campaign commitments.

According to the chief, the MP has demonstrated strong leadership and dedication to the development of the constituency, particularly through efforts to improve road infrastructure. He noted that the long-standing challenge of deplorable inner roads in Abura Dunkwa is being addressed, with construction works currently underway to ease transportation and improve livelihoods.

Speaking at the Odumkwaa Festival in Abura Dunkwa, Nana Owusu Koko II expressed satisfaction with the pace of development in the area, attributing it to the combined leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and the local MP. He described the ongoing projects as a clear indication of the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises to the people.

The chief further called for unity and peace among residents, urging them to support ongoing development initiatives. He also appealed for additional social amenities to accelerate progress in the district and encouraged the youth to prioritise education and avoid social vices. Parents and citizens, both home and abroad, were also urged to contribute meaningfully to community development.

Nana Owusu Koko II expressed confidence that the MP, together with the District Chief Executive, Daniel Mensah Wardy, would complete all outstanding projects, including the construction of a modern market for the community.

Responding to the commendation, Mr Kwakye Ofosu thanked the traditional authorities and residents for their continued support and recognition of his efforts. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering on all campaign promises before the end of his tenure.

He disclosed that contractors are actively working on key road projects within the constituency, including the rehabilitation of inner roads in Abura Dunkwa. He also announced plans for the sod-cutting of a 24-hour economy market, which he said would be the largest in the district’s history.

Additionally, the MP indicated that the government would soon provide modern medical equipment to the Abura Dunkwa District Hospital and supply buses to senior high schools as part of efforts to improve healthcare and education in the area.

Mr Kwakye Ofosu urged residents to maintain confidence in him, the National Democratic Congress, and the government, assuring them that all promises made would be fulfilled.
