Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) delivered a commanding performance on Day 4 of the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship, sweeping aside the Volleyball Club Eagles of DR Congo in straight sets in their Pool C encounter.
From the opening whistle, DCI asserted their dominance with a blend of aggressive serving and solid net defense. The Kenyan side controlled the tempo early, overwhelming their opponents to claim the first set convincingly, 25–13.
The Congolese side showed brief resistance in the second set, finding some rhythm and testing the Kenyan block. However, DCI remained composed under pressure, tightening their defense and capitalizing on key moments to pull away late and secure the set 25–19.
With momentum firmly on their side, DCI closed out the match in clinical fashion. Their attackers consistently found gaps in the Eagles’ defense, cruising to a 25–16 win in the third set to complete the straight-sets victory.
The result underscores DCI’s growing confidence in the competition, as they continue to build momentum in Pool C with a performance defined by precision, discipline, and attacking efficiency.
