The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, Andrews Kojo Duodu, has pledged to transform the district into the most developed in the Central Region within his four-year tenure.
Speaking at the commissioning of two projects funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund a school facility in Ajumako and another at Ajumako Mando Mr. Duodu expressed confidence in his administration’s ability to deliver meaningful and visible development.
“As DCE, I am doing everything possible to make Ajumako Enyan Essiam the most developed district in the Central Region and Ghana overall before my term ends,” he stated.
Mr. Duodu emphasized that his leadership will be rooted in active community engagement rather than a passive administrative approach. He noted that his office will continue to identify the pressing needs of residents and address them with urgency.
He attributed the district’s ongoing progress to a community-driven development strategy being implemented under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government. According to him, prioritizing the real needs of communities over isolated projects has already begun yielding positive results.
In an interview with Channel 247 News, the DCE highlighted his 25 years of experience as a constituency secretary, which he said has equipped him with in-depth knowledge of local challenges and informed decision-making.
Mr. Duodu also assured residents that more projects will soon be commissioned, including Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds, school infrastructure, accommodation for teachers and nurses, and mechanized boreholes.
He commended the Member of Parliament for the area and Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, for his continued support, as well as President John Dramani Mahama for his commitment to development across the country.
“Have faith in me as your DCE, your MP, and the government. We have your interests at heart and will deliver on all campaign promises and even exceed them,” he assured.
The DCE’s remarks come amid renewed efforts by local authorities to accelerate infrastructure development and improve living conditions across the district.
