The National Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a structured plan to allocate recruitment opportunities within the party, alongside a directive to establish constituency-level committees across the country.
In a circular dated March 19, 2026, and addressed to regional chairmen through regional secretaries, the party said the decision followed deliberations by its Functional Executive Committee (FEC). The move, it explained, is aimed at ensuring a transparent, fair, and well-coordinated process in the distribution of available opportunities across various sectors.
According to the directive, all regions are to facilitate the immediate formation of Constituency Committees to oversee the exercise. Each committee will be made up of key party officials, including the Constituency Chairman, Constituency Secretary, Constituency Organizer, Women’s Organizer, Youth Organizer, and Communication Officer. The Member of Parliament or the Municipal or District Chief Executive in the area will also serve on the committee.
The committees have been tasked with identifying, vetting, and recommending qualified applicants for consideration. The party emphasized that the process must prioritize committed members and loyal grassroots workers.
Additionally, the NDC directed that at least 60 percent of beneficiaries should be individuals actively engaged in party activities at the branch and constituency levels.
The directive forms part of the party’s broader efforts to strengthen internal structures while promoting inclusivity and fairness in the allocation of opportunities among its members.
