Cynthia Kwabi wins Sheroes 2 in dominant style

The Ghana Table Tennis Association witnessed a thrilling display of skill and determination as Cynthia Kwabi emerged champion of the Sheroes 2 “Love Edition” Singles tournament held on Saturday at the Accra Spots Stadium .

Kwabi delivered a composed and commanding performance throughout the competition, navigating a competitive group stage to secure her place in the knockout rounds. She began her dominant run in the round of 16 with a convincing 3–0 victory over Millicent Mettle.

In the quarterfinals, Kwabi maintained her impressive form, defeating Celia Baah Danso 4–1 to book a semifinal clash with Hilda Agbottah. The semifinal proved more competitive, but Kwabi’s sharp placement and steady tempo carried her through with a 4–2 win.

The much-anticipated final against Joanita Borteye was expected to be fiercely contested. However, Kwabi asserted control early in the match, dictating play with confidence and precision. She sealed a commanding 4–1 victory to lift the Sheroes 2 title in style.

The tournament also marked the end of Augustina Baidoo’s quest for a third consecutive Sheroes crown. The two-time champion settled for a joint third-place finish, bringing her impressive winning streak in the series to a close.

Joanita Borteye finished as runner-up after an admirable run to the final, while Hilda Agbottah and Augustina Baidoo claimed joint third-place honors.

Kwabi’s triumph adds a new chapter to the growing legacy of the Sheroes Series and sets the stage for the upcoming “Show Time” edition scheduled for February 21, 2026, promising even more excitement in Ghana’s women’s table tennis calendar.
