The Member of Parliament for Binduri, Lawyer Issifu Mahmoud, has donated 100 white marker boards to 33 public schools in the Binduri Constituency, reaffirming his commitment to improving education in the district.
The items were presented on behalf of the MP by the Binduri District Chief Executive, Akudugu Martin Ariku, to the District Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES). According to the DCE, the donation forms part of a broader plan by the MP to replace all blackboards in public schools within the constituency with white marker boards by the end of 2027.
He further highlighted the MP’s consistent support for education in the district, citing cash assistance provided to 50 brilliant but needy students transitioning to senior high school, as well as the construction of classroom blocks in selected schools across the constituency.
Receiving the items, the Binduri District Director of Education, Madam Gloria Kawkuyi, expressed appreciation to the MP, noting that the donation had come at a critical time and would help complement government efforts to improve teaching and learning.
A youth activist in the district, John Khalifa Akubilla, described the gesture as a reflection of the MP’s vision for quality education in Binduri.
The donation is expected to significantly enhance the teaching and learning environment in schools across the constituency.
