Gomoa Akotsi Youth Demand Destoolment of Community Chief

A group of youth identifying themselves as the Concern Youth of Gomoa Akotsi in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region have made a bold demand for the immediate destoolment of Sarfo Ninson, the Chief of their community.

The group alleges that Sarfo Ninson is a self-acclaimed chief and accused him of being an agent against development in the area. They claim that Sarfo Ninson’s leadership has been detrimental to the community’s progress and development hence support the Omanhene’s initial action of destooling him.

They argue that his actions, or lack thereof, has hindered the growth and improvement of the area, leading to their call for his destoolment.

The convener of the Concern Youth, George Aguri who spoke to the  media after the youth’s gathering, refuted claims made by Nana Sarfo Ninson and his subordinates that he is the rightful chief of the area. They  accused the Omanhene of Gomoa of unlawfully conniving with some members of the royal family to destool Nana Sarfo Ninson.

However, the youth leader George Aguri ,countered that Sarfo Ninson is not the rightful owner of the throne and that since his assumption of the position, no significant development has taken place in the community.

Omanhene of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Council, Obirifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II has already started due processes to impeaching  Sarfo Ninson.
