The Elections Committee of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has issued a strong warning to members to disregard a fake voters’ list circulating on social media ahead of the Association’s National and Regional Elections, scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2025.
In a statement released on Sunday, June 29, the Committee expressed deep concern over what it described as a deliberate attempt to mislead members and undermine confidence in the electoral process.
Members who are unsure of their inclusion on the voters’ register have been encouraged to verify their status by visiting the official GJA website or directly contacting the Elections Committee.
The Committee also announced that the Ghana Police Service will be present at all regional voting centres to maintain peace and order during the election.
Additionally, the Committee reminded members that valid identification will be required to cast a vote. Acceptable forms of ID include the Ghanaian Passport, Voter’s ID, and Ghana Card.
