Wendy Shay pledges to sponsor education of girl dancing in viral video

The universe has a way of smiling at people and that is the story of young girl, Tracy seen dancing to Wendy Shay’s ‘Too Late’ song in a viral video last week.

On April 3, 2025 a 30-seconds video of Tracy happily dancing to Wendy Shay’s ‘Too Late’ surfaced online.

Following the video, Tracy, who is said to be called Tracy Shay, was heavily criticised for her dance moves which many critics claimed were too enticing for her age.

With the barrage of attacks on Tracy, Wendy came to her defense with a social post, suggesting that the young girl was just expressing her talent and creativity.

However, she has taken her support a step further with a promise to fund the education of Tracy, who is currently at primary 5 at Ridoana Comprehensive School to University.

In a video shared on Facebook yesterday, Wendy and her team paid Tracy a visit at school, and that was when she pledged to support her education.

“About a week ago, I came here to this school, to perform and during my performance there was this talented beautiful shining star, dancing and singing passionately to my song ‘Too Late.’ The video gained so much attention and it’s still trending so I am here today to say thank you and reward my little star, my shining star Tracy.

“To show my appreciation to you, I have decided that I am going to sponsor your education which is school fees from Class 5 to the university,” Wendy says in the video.

She also seen in the clip, giving an undisclosed amount of money, drinks and other items to support Tracy.

Tracy’s mother who had been invited as well, expressed her profound appreciation to the Uber Driver hit-maker for the gesture.
