Sammi Awuku resigns as Director-General of National Lottery Authority

The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Samuel Awuku (Sammi Awuku), has resigned from his position.

He has since submitted his resignation letter dated January 13, 2025, to the presidency.

Mr Awuku is currently the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem North in the Eastern Region on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) having contested and won the 2024 parliamentary election.

He was appointed as Director General of the NLA in the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration.

In his letter, he cited his election as an MP and his desire to focus on serving his constituents as the reason for his resignation.

Sammi Awuku previously served as the National Organiser of the NPP.
