The Presidency Communications Office will on Monday, 14th July 2025, start what it terms the Government Accountability Series as part of efforts to promote transparency and accountability in governance.
The initiative seeks to provide a platform for key sector ministers to present mid-year updates and offer a preliminary assessment of the government’s performance over the past six months.
The series will be held thrice weekly. Thus; Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, will open the series with a presentation on developments within the security and interior sectors. The briefing by the Interior Minister comes on the hills of some violent incidents during the Ablekuma North re-run and killings in the Binduri enclave of the Upper East region with calls from residents for action to resolve the crisis in the area.
