Suhum: Policeman Dies After Collapsing At Gym

‎A tragic incident has hit the Suhum Municipality as a police officer with the Suhum Municipal Police Command in the Eastern Region passed away after collapsing at a local gym.

‎‎The officer, identified as Felix Atistogbui, reportedly left home around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, to carry out his regular workout routine. However, shortly after beginning his exercises, he began to feel dizzy.

‎‎According to his father, Felix called him around 5:30 p.m. to report that he had collapsed and was feeling unwell, pleading with him to come and take him home.

‎”At about 5:30 p.m., he called me and said he was feeling dizzy and had fallen. He asked me to come pick him up,” his father recalled in an emotional interview. “I rushed there immediately and took him to the hospital. But after about 20 minutes, the doctor came out and told me he didn’t make it.”

‎‎Felix, known for his strong physique and vibrant personality, was widely respected in the Suhum community for his friendly nature and dedication to duty. His sudden death has left both the police force and the local community in mourning.

‎His body has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy as investigations continue into the exact cause of his death.
